Thanks to everyone who beared with me yesterday during my mother of all rants. I still have no clue what to do about challenge 10.
I also have to try and make an added concerted effort with the cleanliness thing. I am just kicking myself as I lost my Harper Hundred cheque. I was sure I'd seen it come in. But it's nowhere to be found. So if it hasn't shown up Monday I'll call the government and beg them to reissue me a new one. Then do some creative accounting, and hope the cheque shows up sometime in the next year.
Speaking of money - man, the holidays are expensive. And if they weren't bad enough already, this week I was stupid enough to put on the stovetop kettle while the toaster was on the smooth cooktop. And I melted the cord. While it was plugged in.
I guess it could have been worse: I could have started a fire. Instead I just needed to stop by Canadian Tire for a few $25 toaster. And while I was at it I picked up a kettle, so there will be no more turning on the stove first thing in the morning when I'm still 90% asleep.
Add to that a pair of new boots, some papasan cushions to replace our old ones that were gutted years ago, and my last two excursions to Costco, and Visa loves me. Oh well, I have to keep myself it's all about the joy of giving... (Do you think maybe the credit card companies came up with that line in the first place?)
